Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Risk and Client Services is responsible
for coordinating the delivery of risk management and education services for MPIE and Eagle Risk Consulting (ERC) clients. This position requires excellent customer service and project management skills. It is essential that the person in this role has a high level of organization and attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a collaborative team oriented environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Education
  • Prepares and sends out provider credit notifications after approval
  • Tracks education completions in NavRisk and answers inquiries related to credit status
  • Prepares and sends educational notices
  • Prepares and sends credit status reports to large account practice managers and hospital risk managers for employed physicians, ensures they are aware well in advance of due date if credit will be lost by their providers
  • Coordinates logistics of education programs (venues, marketing, onsite support, etc.)
  • General inquiries related to education programs/registration
  • Prepares presentations and other materials for education programs/committee meetings
    • Assessments
  • Coordination of logistics
  • Tool development
  • Format reports
  • Data collection, analysis, results tabulation and report generation
  • Post service evaluations
  • Website: updates content, answers inquiries related to credentials/navigation
    • Reports: compiles quarterly dashboard report, RM/education portion of stewardship reports, and others as needed
    • Publications (newsletter, e-news alerts, manual, toolkits, etc.): formats/proofs documents, oversees distribution
  • Travel arrangements for staff/consultants
  • Coordination of independent consultants onboarding
  • Coordination of networking events held at MSHRM/ASHRM conferences
  • Support tasks and appointment scheduling for all RM staff
    • Documents client communication in NavRisk and client electronic file folders
    • Monitors/triages risk and website admin email inboxes
    • Answers/triages risk and ERC phone lines


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business/healthcare related degree
  • Experience in project management for educational program development, accreditation/review entities or medical malpractice insurance companies - risk and patient safety divisions.
  • Three to five years’ experience in healthcare field highly preferred.  This includes direct experience working with healthcare organizations, knowledge of quality assurance, patient safety, risk management, medical records management, medical group management, regulatory issues and current health care issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.  Exercise independent judgment in solving complex problems.
  • Ability to research topics, make recommendations, and communicate to individuals and groups through both oral and written means.
  • Perform at intermediate to advanced level in ALL Microsoft Office Suite products: including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint or other database software and excellent navigation skills on Internet Explorer.
  • Firm knowledge and confidence in working with software and communication platforms (WebEx/Spark communication platforms, database software, Vimeo, podcast software, etc.).
  • Own or lease an automobile.  Proof of valid Michigan Driver’s license and registration.

Telecommuting will be considered for qualified candidates that live outside the Grand Rapids area.
