We are seeking a talented professional to share their experiences and skills with our client.  In this role, you will assist in maximizing first and third-party collections while ensuring the integrity of the funds collected and in a manner which maintains the dignity of the consumers being served.

Initially, you will be required to spend 1-3 days per week at the client site in Iosco County.  After this initial training period, the responsibilities may be completed at the client site or remotely from one of our office locations.

How You’ll Make an Impact with our Client:

  • Assisting clinicians with appropriate services deletions or edits
  • Reviewing Medicaid and third-party billings for accuracy and prepare them for processing
  • Processing error reports and initiate clinician corrections to ensure proper billing
  • Providing assurance that insurance screens reflect technically correct and complete insurance information
  • Investigate unpaid invoices for all funding sources
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly documentation for OBRA billings
  • Assisting and directing consumers and/or clinicians regarding account questions
  • Creating a demand for timely completion of intake and annual documentation
  • Overseeing the “ability to pay” process to assure accurate calculations and determinations for all consumers
  • Providing information on how to access various rights and grievance processes
  • Reviewing quarterly General Fund billings to monitor changes in consumer insurances
  • Tracking Medicaid spenddown billings to assure appropriate funding source
  • Participating in the design and implementation of staff training
  • Processing first and third-party payments, deductibles and denial transactions

Your Desired Experiences and Skills:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 5+ years of experience in an office setting
  • 3+ years of billing experience 
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a desire to assist others
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to display a professional office demeanor and business etiquette
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • “Can do” attitude and team player
