Job Description

The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist values working with a team and organization that shares the same values and goals and helps others get the job done.  This detailed, focused, process-oriented person will be willing to accept feedback, adapt to change, as well as challenge others when needed.   

Job Responsibilities: (WHAT)

The responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet required deadlines
  • Build relationships with the plants
  • Ability to Problem solve
  • Ability/Willingness to communicate verbally versus email
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy
  • Take care of internal customer needs
  • Take time to understand the work that needs to be done and ask questions
  • Work with the team to develop the best work process
  • Approach work in an organized fashion
  • Understand what is required and why it’s important
  • Understand systems and how to use them effectively
  • Understand the negative effects of taking short-cuts
  • Has a passion for doing it right the first time

 Skills & Experience:

 Required

  • Minimum of 2-4 years Accounting experience
  • Microsoft Office

 Preferred

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • ERP Software experience
  • Experience with a multi-site manufacturing company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

 Desired

  • Accounts Payable processing
  • Account Reconciliation
  • ABAS ERP Software
