This Accounting Software Implementation Internship will allow a student to gain vast experience with our cloud-based accounting software teams to learn the value of such tools to clients, how those clients use these tools, and how the implementation process is conducted. Summer internships last from mid-May to mid-August.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the integrative function of IT accounting
  • Learning all the facets that factor into implementing cloud-based accounting software programs 
  • Learning how organizations in a variety of industries can use the cloud to get real-time financial and operational data
  • Assisting in configuring systems and data before the implementation begins
  • Visiting client sites to assist Rehmann’s implementation teams in executing software implementation
  • Sitting in on client meetings to learn how our teams consult with clients to ensure they feel comfortable and confident with the technological transition
  • Overall partnering with the team in providing a “wow” experience for every client
  • Accurately maintaining time records and expenses related to projects

Your Desired Skills, Values & Experiences:

  • Pursuit of degree in accounting
  • Double major or minor in IT (or equivalent) preferred
  • Completion of Intermediate Financial Accounting I by the start of the internship
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Exhibits leadership skills via work experience and/or participation in campus extracurriculars
  • Some work experience (related or unrelated) is preferred
  • Strong, hands-on Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
